Stitch Your Brain started in 2013 as a long term study into the hand-brain-creativity connection.

A special website documents the growing number of works, collaborations, grants and partners. 

In 2018 more than 130 stitched brains from all over the world were shown at the Brain show in Amsterdam.

In 2023 the results of the study were  published by JapSam books, featuring more than 130 brains.
