The concept of containers relates to their myriad functions, i.e. to hide and to carry: Egyptian mummies, swaddling the remains in herringbone patterns, metal containers hiding refugees or plastic bags and jute sacks to carry the life-support of nomads. On another scale in anatomical structures like a ribcage, pouches and an amniotic sack the structures protect, connect and merge with other structures, but can be permeable at the same time.
